Pretty much like the original. I played it with Dad for the first time. He beat me for the first time. Let's see I think this would be the 12th time we've played Ancients. I knew I was going to lose since the first move. Oh well! Good scenerio. I'll have to try the other team. Hoping we can play again soon with some of the new units.

Commands and Colors: Ancients
Was in Fandom II and picked up Commands and Colors: Ancients. Not exactly an impulse buy, as I've had it on the wishlist, but I'm not sure if I'll find an opponent for it. The game uses the same system as Memoir'44 which I really like, but C&C is a more complex games (memoir'44 has 3 basic unit types; C&C has quite a few more).
I've read the rules and am in the process of applying stickers. There are over 300 blocks needing stickers on each side. At 15secs per sticker, this will take on the order of 150 minutes (2.5 hours) to complete the stickering. There has to be a better way to deliver a game. Hopefully, the game will turn out to be worth the work.

Princes of the Renaissance
Played a complete game of Princes of the Renaissance. Ending was rather close. Huge difference in strategies. Jason has all the high powered weaponry, so was generally winning most of the wars. However, he also had reduced influence costs to get into wars and that allowed him to keep bidding on getting into the wars and pile up a huge number of victory points. It got him into a tie for first place and probably should have won him the game (a few other players had some good luck).
